Description
We're recruiting for an experienced and influential aviation professional to lead safety, compliance and operational risk across our Airport operations. This senior role will provide independent assurance and strategic leadership across Aerodrome, Aviation Security and Air Navigation Services, ensuring effective governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Airport’s aviation safety, compliance and operational risk strategy.
- Provide independent advice, assurance and challenge to senior leaders and the Accountable Manager.
- Oversee the Aviation Integrated Management System, compliance monitoring programme and operational risk framework.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulators and external assurance bodies.
- Ensure safety, compliance and risk are embedded within operational decisions, major projects and organisational change.
- Provide clear performance and assurance reporting to senior management and governance forums.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will be an experienced senior aviation leader with a relevant professional qualification and comprehensive knowledge of safety management, compliance monitoring and operational risk. You will bring experience of audits, investigations and regulatory engagement, together with the credibility to influence at executive level, challenge constructively and make sound decisions in complex situations. Experience overseeing major projects, operational change or Board-level reporting would be advantageous.
