Job Description

As a Security Officer in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support operations through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience Valid Driver's License

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, visitor authorizations, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate access records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and incident-reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, parking areas, and designated facility locations, reporting hazards, damaged barriers, or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
