As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Enrollment in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and personnel. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and contractors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a maritime logistics location.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, business operations, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Communicate professionally with port personnel, transportation partners, and the public while documenting security-related observations and incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least three years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Officer, and/or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
- Possess a CPO certification.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
- Hold a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
