To support our endeavors, we are looking for a Logistics Planner Junior Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Finished Vehicle Logistics department in Eschborn, 65760. This role is a 1-year limited role with the possibility to extend for the right person. This is a dynamic, hands-on role centered around supporting the team and delivering great experiences — both behind the scenes and in direct interactions with transport partners.
Your profile
Transport Planning and Arrangement
- Create transport plans for trucks and rail.
- Develop transport plans for mixed loads, priority loads, and vessel deadlines.
- Secure transport capacity and create requests.
- Check capacity with contracted suppliers and find additional capacity or alternative solutions.
- Update loading schedules and track ETA.
- Substitute for colleagues as needed.
- Plan special transport based on customer requests.
- Manage loading/unloading problems, missing documents, and emergencies.
- Produce and manage shipping forecasts.
- Track KPIs for suppliers and factories.
- Generate daily reports (yard stock, Adampol performance, current shipping plans).
- Prepare loading time reports.
- Manage rail transportation schedules and truck/train loading statuses.
- Work closely with colleagues and assist with the introduction of new team members.
- Enhance collaboration and relationships with customers.
- Controlling and Managing Information
- Monitor on-time truck ratios, ATA upload ratios, CMR upload ratios.
- Check invoices and manage monthly closing (special transportation files, V-Logis).
Your profile
Academic degree or completed apprenticeship in a relevant field.
- Experience in freight forwarding/logistics is desirable; experience in automotive logistics is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office, knowledge of customs law, and understanding of automotive logistics.
- Strong planning and organizing abilities, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and service-oriented approach.
- Excellent presentation skills, good communication abilities, and foreign language proficiency (English is a must).
- Analytical mind, conscientious, and resilient to stress.
