Description
Overview
Audit all legal documents on closed loans. Assure that loans have closed in accordance with federal and state law and with investor requirements. Ensure timely delivery and subsequent funding of closed loans.
What You’ll Do
- Follow up with settlement agents on incomplete or incorrect loan packages
- Maintain current status of loan files in LOS system
- Audit files according to departmental procedures to ensure receipt of required documentation to deliver loan file to investor
- Document in LOS system exception items requested, receipt of such items, date and time for follow up
- Prepare, image and deliver completed loan packages to investors for review and purchase
- Respond to and correct conditions required by the investor on individual loan files
- Respond to and correct findings on quality control reviews
Requirements For Success
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two years of experience with FNMA/FHLMC loans
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Encompass software experience preferred
- General knowledge of all areas of mortgage lending
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with attorneys and within UCB
- Must be able to stay focused and work well under pressure
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not manage employees.
POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
TRAVEL
This position requires up to 5% travel.
