About the role:
This position contributes to the development and execution of advanced sourcing strategies, ensuring cost optimization, and fostering collaboration with key suppliers. You will oversee the administration and compliance of supplier contracts with company policies to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks. You will utilizes data analysis tools to gather and interpret comprehensive supplier performance data, providing insights and recommendations based on sophisticated data-driven analyses.
What you will be doing:
- Contribute to the development and execution of advanced sourcing strategies, ensuring cost optimization, and fostering collaboration with key suppliers.
- Oversee the administration and compliance of supplier contracts with company policies to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Utilize data analysis tools to gather and interpret comprehensive supplier performance data, providing insights and recommendations based on sophisticated data-driven analyses.
- Develop and executes sourcing strategies for procurement and supply chain, maximizing supplier value-add to the organization.
- Apply highly developed market research skills to analyze industry and supplier profiles, trends, and best practices, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Coordinate externally with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and partners to identify business needs, address requirements, and foster effective supplier integration.
- Design and develop industry-leading category, commodity, and project-level strategies to optimize procurement processes and enhance overall performance.
- Advise on and executes formal competitive bid events, including solicitation and analysis, supplier negotiation, and contracting, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
- Act as a specialist in supplier relationship management, establishing and overseeing processes for supplier performance and continuous improvement.
- Direct groups in internal data collection and spend analysis, contributing to the development of operational targets with a major impact on departmental results.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Typically requires five to seven years of supply chain, procurement and vendor relationship experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
• Excellent problem solving, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines for self and others
• Proficiency in evaluating the performance capabilities of subordinates as well as counsel subordinates in development and/or corrective discipline
• Proficiency in making projections of future expenses based on analysis of cost effectiveness of past expenditures
• Proficiency to operate independently
