ING Australia’s Technology Risk team is looking to hire a Technology Risk Intelligence Senior Manager, based at our Sydney office.
As the Technology Risk Intelligence Senior Manager, you'll play a key role in helping ING proactively identify, assess and manage emerging and complex technology risks across the bank. Working closely with Technology, Risk and senior leadership teams, you'll provide intelligence-led risk insights that strengthen decision-making, improve risk management practices and enhance the resilience of our technology environment.

What you’ll do
- Lead intelligence-led technology risk assessments and thematic reviews across high-risk and complex technology environments, identifying emerging risks, control gaps and systemic exposures.
- Monitor internal and external risk signals, industry developments, incidents and regulatory trends to proactively identify and assess emerging technology risks.
- Provide deep risk insights and practical recommendations to support informed decision-making and proactive risk management across the organisation.
- Assess technology architectures, processes and control environments across areas such as cloud, AI, critical applications, third parties and legacy platforms.
- Support the development and enhancement of ING's AI risk governance, practices and risk management capabilities.
- Partner with Technology, Risk and senior stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness, governance and control effectiveness.
- Contribute to strategic planning and risk initiatives by providing forward-looking insights on technology and operational risk.
What we’re looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business or a related discipline.
- Approximately 7+ years' experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Information Security, Operational Risk or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of technology risk management, governance frameworks and banking technology environments.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including cloud computing, APIs, microservices, DevOps, Agile delivery and Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, assurance reviews, investigations or thematic risk reviews within complex technology environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide meaningful risk insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively across all levels of the organisation.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP or similar risk, audit or security qualifications will be highly regarded.
- A naturally inquisitive mindset, sound judgement and a passion for continuous improvement and emerging risk management.
