Overview

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, an Am Law 100 firm with offices in all 50 states, is seeking a highly motivated 2027 Summer Associate to join its Cyber/Technology Litigation and Insurance practice group in the Chicago office. The Summer Associate will work closely with partners and associates on all phases of complex litigation, including preparing matters for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the forefront of legal issues involving emerging technologies, complex commercial disputes, fidelity bond insurance, and high-stakes litigation.

 

In this role, the Summer Associate will assist in representing leading companies in matters involving software and technology disputes, cybersecurity incidents, data privacy issues, intellectual property, and technology-driven business conflicts.

 

Qualifications

 

• Enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school, with strong academic credentials and demonstrated achievement
• Minimum of 3.60 GPA
• Active membership on a law review or journal, with experience in legal writing, cite-checking, and substantive editing
• Anticipated J.D. graduation date of May 2028
• Demonstrated interest in litigation, cybersecurity, data privacy, insurance coverage, and/or technology-related legal issues, through coursework, prior work experience, or extracurricular involvement
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex legal and factual issues into clear and persuasive written work product
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and third parties in a professional environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting
• High level of professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail, with a demonstrated commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team of attorneys and legal professionals
• Prior experience in litigation, judicial clerkships, internships, or law firm settings is preferred but not required
• Availability to work in-office on designated days in the Chicago office (remote applicants will not be considered)

Pay Range

USD $30.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
