Job Description:

Ready to make a major positive impact on some of Australia's most iconic brands?

Here at Mars Petcare Australia, home of great brands such as Pedigree, Dine and Whiskas, we believe in Creating a Better World for our Pets.

We're looking for a Value Transformation Lead, focused across Value Leadership & Design to Value to join our Mars Petcare team, based in Melbourne, Wodonga or Bathurst. This is a crucial role where you'll unlock value, accelerate our cost-competitiveness, and enable us to reinvest in the brands that pet lovers know and trust. If you're a natural leader who can build a strategic roadmap and drive cross-functional projects, this is the opportunity for you.

What you’ll do

  • Enterprise Value Leadership & Ownership: Lead the enterprise Design-to-Value (DtV) strategy and foster an organizational culture that embeds, optimizes, and tracks value creation across all business decisions.

  • Executive Influence & Stakeholder Mobilization: Influence and align senior executives and high-performing, cross-functional teams to secure ownership and drive collaborative, data-backed value initiatives.

  • Design-to-Value Program Management: Establish the governance, tools, and methodologies required to simplify products and operations while embedding value considerations into core development activities.

  • PMO Leadership & Governance: Lead the Value Leadership PMO in ANZ to govern, prioritize, and track the portfolio, partnering with Finance to validate and report on business cases and financial outcomes.

  • Change Leadership & Capability: Build organizational capability and drive the adoption of value-based thinking through targeted maturity programs, stakeholder engagement, and strategic change management.

Your Unique Ingredients:

  • 10+ years of operational experience in Finance, Commercial (Procurement), Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics or R&D ideally in an FMCG environment.

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong business acumen with experience building and delivering measurable value outcomes.

  • Experience influencing senior executives and leading through ambiguity.

  • Exceptional facilitation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

  • Experience with Design-to-Value, Value Engineering, Lean, Six Sigma, Product Lifecycle Management, or Cost Transformation methodologies; as well as customer centered-design and innovation would be highly regarded.

Why you’ll love working for Mars:

  • Purpose: Help craft beloved brands with a legacy of over 100 years of local manufacturing making products that people and pets will love all while helping to build a more sustainable future.

  • People: A culture that values your contributions, fosters leadership, and recognises the impact you make. Your work truly matters here.

  • Development: Shape your career with personalised development and real opportunities to grow from day one.

  • Enjoy a team and business environment that is invested in helping you manage and grow your energy for work and life.
