Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Technical Lead for the One KYC Platform will be responsible for leading the technical design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable Know Your Customer (KYC) solutions within United Overseas Bank Ltd. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and an understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, architecture, and development of the One KYC platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, fostering best practices in software engineering, code quality, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the KYC platform, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the platform's capabilities, efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions, ensuring platform stability and availability.
- Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering their technical growth and career development.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap development for the One KYC platform.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to KYC and data privacy.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or architect role.
- Proven experience in designing and building large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications, preferably within the financial services domain.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or React, and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., DRF/ Fast API).
- Extensive experience with web platforms and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of relational (e.g., Oracle).
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with KYC, AML, and other regulatory compliance requirements in the banking sector is highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring and guiding development teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
