Lorien Mount Airy is seeking a dedicated Porter / Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. As a Floor Technician, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, patients, visitors, and staff. Your work helps ensure our community remains comfortable, attractive, and well-maintained every day. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Clean, maintain, and restore various floor surfaces throughout the facility.
- Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, burnishers, and vacuums.
- Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors to maintain a professional appearance.
- Clean carpets and perform routine floor maintenance as scheduled.
- Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility.
- Assist with housekeeping duties and special cleaning projects as needed.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any repair needs to management.
- Ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and presentable for residents and visitors.
Qualifications
- Full Time & Part-Time availability
- Schedule:7a-3:30p
- Every Other Weekend rotation - Saturday/Sunday
- Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
