Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Finacle Product Engineer with 5+ years of experience in test automation, production support, defect management, and banking technology. The role will support Retail Assets applications by resolving automation defects and production business incidents, improving application stability, and expanding test automation coverage.The position will contribute to business objectives by reducing recurring defects, improving release quality, supporting production continuity, coordinating defect fixes and upgrades, and strengthening the reliability of Retail Assets and lending operations across multiple entities.
Software Requirements
Required
Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, production support, application support, or related technology roles.
Experience with test automation using Selenium and Java, using current and supported versions.
Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts.
Experience with API testing and validation.
Experience with production support, incident management, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
Experience performing root-cause analysis and documenting corrective and preventive actions.
Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, release management, and collaboration tools.
Experience coordinating with development, testing, business, and operations teams.

Fix and support defect resolution for Retail Assets automation testing and production business incidents.
Manage production stability by triaging, prioritizing, investigating, and resolving critical incidents.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce recurring defects.
Own and enhance test automation coverage for Retail Assets applications.
Develop, maintain, execute, and improve Selenium- and Java-based automated test scripts.
Drive test stabilization initiatives across multiple entities and application environments.
Coordinate with development teams on defect fixes, patches, upgrades, configuration changes, and release validation.
Participate in production support activities and ensure timely issue resolution in line with agreed service expectations.
Collaborate with business, testing, development, operations, and support teams to improve application quality and reliability.
Track defects, incidents, resolutions, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions through appropriate tools.
Review automation results, production trends, incident patterns, and defect data to identify improvement opportunities.

Maintain technical documentation, test evidence, incident records, root-cause reports, and operational procedures.

Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, execute, maintain, and improve Selenium- and Java-based automation scripts for Retail Assets applications, including regression and release validation testing.
Triage production incidents and automation failures, analyze logs and test evidence, coordinate with development and business teams, and track issues through resolution.
Perform root-cause analysis, document corrective actions, monitor recurring defect trends, and contribute to application stabilization and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in Agile meetings, incident reviews, release discussions, and stakeholder updates while making testing and support decisions within established quality, security, and change-management standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in test automation, software testing, production support, or related technology roles.
Certifications in software testing, test automation, Agile, Java, or related technologies are preferred.
Complete Synechron-required training related to information security, data protection, banking applications, workplace conduct, and responsible technology use.
