Overview
We are looking for an Authorizations Coordinator for our corporate office in Long Beach.
We are looking for someone who is customer service focused, driven, and detailed
An Authorizations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination, processing, obtaining prior authorizations and requesting reports for a variety of referrals requested from our contracts
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison with referral providers and agencies
- Provide supportive leadership to staff for daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with employees for scheduling needs and client preferences/needs
- Provide customer service and directly resolve any issues and concerns
- Provide communication to executive and management team regarding status of pending referrals and status changes
- Contact referral sources to obtain information accurately complete referral/pre-authorization requests
- Compile information related to client, assess eligibility, communicate with insurance providers, and track progress
- Input all requests for services received into system accurately for electronic tracking
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational skills required
- Must possess excellent communication skills in English
- 3+ year's customer service experience
- Able to exercise discretion with confidential information
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job requirements
- 18+ years old
- US work authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check and reference check
