Maintenance Generalist – Pay Grade depends on skill set and experience
- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus, qualified applicants, only for External applicants who have not previously received a Sign-On Bonus.
The starting pay for this position depends on experience and skillset starting pay is $22.90 up to $32.75 per hour, with a shift increase for [second/third) shifts. Work Schedule 1st Shift – Tuesday through Saturday 7:00 a.m – . (approximate)
Will be required to be On-Call or work additional shifts occasionally depending on production schedule.
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This role includes having the ability to make work orders, filling out daily documentation and entering into SAP, making work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. while maintaining quality, safety, sanitation, and company policy standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES: General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery, be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required, must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
Physical Requirements: Must be willing and able to perform the following:
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods up to 10 hours or longer if production requires it.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally/as needed throughout the shift. (Assistance with lifting over 40 lbs. If needed).
- Must be willing and able to work in cold/hot/wet/humid/noisy, with temperatures or conditions ranging from.
- Must be willing and able to bend, reach, push, climb, twist, or perform repetitive motions as required by the position.
- Must be willing and able to work at an elevated level.
- Must be willing and able to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as required by business needs.
- Must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Must follow all Tyson biosecurity policies and procedures, including any facility-specific requirements related to personal protective equipment, visitor restrictions, animal/product contact, sanitation, and movement between areas as required.
Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.
Only applicants from the following counties will be considered: Washington, Benton and Madison counties in AR, Adair County in OK, McDonald County in MO (within a 50-mile radius).
External Education and Experience Requirement: a minimum of 1-year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications and working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools preferred.
Internal Maintenance Team Members will receive first preference.
