A Brief Overview

The Manager, Transition Strategy is responsible for leading a team of Transition Strategy Partners ensuring consistent, high-quality execution of transition strategy across the customer lifecycle—from pre-sale through onboarding and transition to steady-state service. This role translates enterprise transition strategy into operational execution by providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to Transition Strategy Partners. The Manager drives consistency in customer experience, supports complex and high-risk engagements, and ensures alignment between sales commitments, solution design, and onboarding execution.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop Transition Strategy Partners, driving performance, goal alignment, and ongoing capability building.
  • Foster a high-accountability, customer-focused culture through training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Oversee end-to-end transition delivery to ensure timely, high-quality onboarding and customer outcomes.
  • Manage resource alignment, provide escalation support, and guide teams through complex customer scenarios.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure accurate scoping, feasibility, and alignment of customer solutions.
  • Mitigate risk on complex deals and support faster deal cycles by addressing onboarding dependencies and operational constraints.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track onboarding timelines, quality, and customer experience.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, drive performance reviews, and maintain visibility into risks and outcomes.
  • Act as a key liaison across various departments across the organization to drive aligned execution.
  • Resolve escalations and remove blockers to maintain onboarding success and delivery timelines.
  • Drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and onboarding execution.
  • Leverage insights to refine playbooks, standardize practices, and support automation initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 5+ years Customer onboarding, implementation, transition services, or related areas required
  • Typically 2+ years People leadership experience required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred or
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred or
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred or
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $89,600.00 to $168,000.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
