About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take on the Area Sales Manager role covering the Central Belt in Scotland.
The main focus of the role is to maximise all business opportunities of both new and used trucks by selling the full range of Linde Material Handling equipment to all business types. Working together with other departments, the Area Sales Manager will ensure agreed service levels are maintained and customers retained.
Responsibilities include;
• Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers
• Securing new forklift truck business with new customers
• Achieving volume targets and market share objectives
• Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts
• Identify customer requirements and undertake site surveys
• Preparing quotations
• Produce accurate quote and present to customer in an effective manner, including financial solutions
• Ensure complete and clean order packs are delivered to Sales Administration

Tasks and Qualifications:
We’re interested in candidates with:
- Demonstratable Direct sales experience (B2B) including winning new business
- Experience looking after a territory and going to customer sites
- Self-motivated with a proactive can-do attitude
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Commercially minded with strong business acumen
- PC literate
- Numerical competence
- Resilient
- Strong attention to detail
- Full driving license
- Industry experience is a strong ideal, as is Capital Equipment, Hire, Logistics or Engineering experience
