The Supplier Lead is the primary point of contact responsible for the holistic management of assigned suppliers.

This role develops and maintains effective relationships with designated suppliers and internal Supply Chain teams to achieve operational requirements across all Moog sites. The Supplier Lead is responsible for supplier surveillance, performance management, risk mitigation, and ensuring effective communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Lead Time performance.

A core focus of this role will be developing strong supplier partnerships, driving supplier performance improvements, executing corrective actions, and ensuring supplier commitments align with business and operational requirements. The Supplier Lead will lead problem-solving activities, support supplier development initiatives, and provide regional expertise to strengthen overall supply chain performance.

As a Supplier Lead, you will:

• Develop and manage effective supplier relationships to achieve business requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers, ensuring strong collaboration and communication.
• Conduct surveillance and monitoring activities for assigned suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Manage purchase orders to ensure current and accurate delivery information is maintained through standard systems and processes.
• Drive the timely and effective closure of root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Expedite supplier deliveries when required to support site operational requirements.
• Lead problem-solving activities to resolve issues impacting supplier relationships and supply chain performance.
• Support and, when appropriate, lead supplier recovery and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide regional support for supplier selection, supplier development, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Leverage regional and supplier knowledge to support supply chain planning activities.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and lead time performance.
• Collaborate across multiple functions, cultures, and geographic regions to achieve global supply chain objectives.
• Travel regularly to supplier locations within the designated region and occasionally to Moog sites outside the region as required.

To be considered for the Supplier Lead position, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Up to 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex supply chain challenges.
• Working knowledge of procurement processes, contractual requirements, business systems, and supply chain operations.
• Experience managing supplier performance and supporting supplier development activities.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including regular supplier visits within the assigned region.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple functions, cultures, and geographic regions.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Engineering or technical background.
• Project or Program Management experience.
• Professional certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Program Management.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience within the Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
• Experience supporting supplier selection, supplier development, and new product introduction programs.
• Negotiation experience with suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
