Job Description

As a Security Officer in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and authorized access, and supporting security-related procedures. You will use a computer or tablet to document activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the retail location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, receiving areas, parking areas, sales floor perimeter, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and shift activity records while communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
