Tendering Manager, PDA

## What you’ll do:

Lead the tendering and application engineering function for Eaton’s Power Distribution business in Malaysia. Responsible for delivering technically compliant, commercially competitive and timely proposals for MV/LV power distribution projects, while supporting Sales from opportunity qualification through order handover.

A. Lead end-to-end tendering activities for Power Distribution projects, from RFQ review, technical clarification and solution development through final proposal submission and order handover.

B. Review customer specifications, single-line diagrams, drawings and tender documents to establish technical requirements, scope, deviations and risks.

C. Develop optimized and competitive technical solutions covering MV switchgear, RMU, transformers, LV switchboards, busway, PTU and associated power distribution systems.

D. Coordinate with Sales, FAE, Product Management, factories and suppliers to obtain technical inputs, costing, lead times and project-specific solutions.

E. Prepare and review technical offers, compliance statements, deviations, equipment selections, system configurations and tender documentation in accordance with applicable IEC standards and customer requirements.

F. Own tender schedules and prioritization to ensure critical bids are submitted accurately and within customer deadlines.

G. Support Sales during technical clarification, consultant/customer meetings, value engineering and commercial negotiations to improve bid competitiveness and conversion.

H. Identify technical, commercial and execution risks during the tender stage and ensure appropriate mitigation, assumptions and exclusions are incorporated into the proposal.

I. Drive standardization of tendering tools, costing templates, proposal documentation and engineering practices to improve tender turnaround time and quality.

J. Ensure complete technical and commercial handover to Project/Execution teams following order award.

K. Track tender performance, including pipeline workload, turnaround time, win/loss feedback and key improvement opportunities.

L. Develop technical capability within the tendering/FAE team and provide guidance on complex power distribution applications.

M. To be committed & responsible for Quality Management System:

## Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5 –10 years of experience in tendering, application engineering, electrical design or project engineering within MV/LV power distribution

Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution systems and IEC standards

Experience with MV switchgear, RMU, transformers, LV switchboards and/or busway

Ability to interpret SLDs, specifications, protection requirements and electrical drawings

Strong technical proposal, compliance and tendering capability

Understanding of project costing, commercial terms, lead time and technical risk

Experience with Data Center, Semiconductor, Manufacturing and Critical Infrastructure projects is preferred

Strong ownership and prioritization; commercial acumen; analytical and problem-solving capability; effective stakeholder management; ability to work under tight tender deadlines; strong written and verbal communication
