Job Description: QA Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing, a solid understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·                Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and standards

·                Review product specifications and user stories, translating them into detailed test plans and comprehensive test cases

·                Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and business analysts to plan and define quality testing for user stories throughout sprint cycles

·                Execute test runs and document results thoroughly

·                Prepare clear, comprehensive notes and communicate findings to the development team

·                Perform retesting to ensure defects are resolved and the product is ready for Product Owner acceptance

·                Conduct regression testing to ensure scheduled deployments do not impact existing functionality

·                Identify areas suitable for test automation and recommend effective solutions

·                Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and team practices

·                Utilize tools such as Rally to manage test cases and track defects

·                Perform and document root cause analysis on identified defects

·                Test RESTful and SOAP APIs to validate integration and backend behavior

·                Apply strong SQL skills to query, validate, and analyze complex datasets, supporting backend and data‑driven testing

Required Skills & Experience

·                Experience with Generative AI development tools

·                Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

·                High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

·                Experience working within Agile development teams

·                Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products and technologies

·                Proven experience translating requirements into clear, actionable test cases

·                Strong communication skills with excellent documentation capabilities

·                Experience working with databases, strong SQL proficiency, and hands‑on automation testing skills

Nice to Have Skills

·                Demonstrate hands on experience with AWS cloud services

·                Perform API automation

·                Hold mainframe experience to support testing of legacy and core systems

·                Develop automation frameworks for Regression and Smoke test suites
