POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is seeking an experienced professional to join the organization as a Senior Advisor, Change Management and contribute to its strategic transformation initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, Organizational Transformation and Change Management, this individual will serve as a trusted partner to leadership teams and project teams. They will support the delivery of complex transformations that have a significant impact on employees, processes, ways of working, and the organization as a whole.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach. They will be able to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and mobilize stakeholders around a shared vision.
In a rapidly evolving environment shaped by changing business models, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence, this individual will also contribute to the adoption of new ways of working and the realization of transformation benefits.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Support business units in defining and implementing their transformation initiatives by translating strategic ambitions into a clear and compelling target vision and deploying integrated change management strategies tailored to business needs.
- Advise managers and members of leadership on change leadership and support them in engaging and mobilizing their teams.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor transformation and change management activities to ensure effective execution.
- Conduct stakeholder analyses, organizational impact assessments, and risk analyses, and develop the necessary mitigation plans.
- Develop and implement engagement, communication, and training strategies that foster sustainable adoption of change.
- Define and monitor performance, adoption, and benefits realization indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of transformation initiatives.
- Support the adoption of new technologies, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence initiatives, with a focus on business value, employee experience, and evolving ways of working.
- Contribute to the establishment of engagement mechanisms, including networks of change agents, champions, super users, and ambassadors.
- Collaborate in the development, enhancement, and deployment of organizational transformation and change management methods, tools, and practices.
- Promote innovative approaches that accelerate change adoption and the realization of transformation benefits.
- Conduct ongoing environmental scanning of emerging trends related to organizational transformation, employee experience, artificial intelligence, change management, and the evolution of work.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A university degree in a relevant field. A master's degree, MBA, or change management certification is considered an asset.
- At least five years of relevant experience in organizational transformation, change management, internal consulting, or strategic project management within complex organizations.
- Strong ability to understand organizational challenges holistically, connect initiatives, and translate complex situations into practical, engaging approaches.
- Excellent consulting, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with managers and executives.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to synthesize and simplify information.
- A combination of strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Comfort working in a complex, constantly evolving environment where ambiguity is part of everyday work.
- A solid understanding of issues related to digital transformation, technology adoption, and evolving ways of working.
- Experience working in agile or hybrid environments is considered an asset.
- Experience contributing to digital transformation, technology adoption, or artificial intelligence initiatives is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in both French and English, orally and in writing.
