The Team

eBay’s Shipping Native team builds and evolves shipping experiences across eBay’s iOS and Android applications.

Our work covers key parts of the customer journey, including shipping options during listing, shipping labels, shipment tracking, shipping preferences, and pickup and drop-off location experiences. We also collaborate closely with teams across Checkout, Payments, Selling, and other marketplace domains.

We are a collaborative and diverse team that values ownership, technical quality, continuous learning, and pragmatic innovation. We actively explore modern development practices, modular architectures, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.

The Role

As an iOS Software Engineer, you will contribute to customer-facing shipping experiences within eBay’s core iOS application.

You will work alongside iOS and Android engineers and collaborate directly with Product, Design, Analytics, Backend, and other platform teams. You will take ownership of features from technical planning through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement.

This role is well suited to an engineer with strong iOS fundamentals who enjoys solving customer problems and wants to grow their technical ownership within a large-scale mobile application.

What You Will Accomplish

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable, modular, and reusable features for eBay’s core iOS application.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Analytics, and other engineering teams to define and deliver customer-facing shipping experiences.
• Contribute to application quality by improving performance, stability, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical discussions, planning, code reviews, release activities, and continuous improvement of team practices.
• Investigate and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience, with strong knowledge of Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Practical experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, modern iOS architecture, asynchronous programming, and API integration.
• Experience writing unit tests, reviewing code, using Git-based workflows, and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate product and design requirements into clean, maintainable, and reliable production code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and ownership skills.
• A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of ownership for the quality of the features you deliver.
• Interest in AI-assisted software development, automation, and developer productivity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale or modular iOS applications and frameworks such as The Composable Architecture.
• Familiarity with accessibility, experimentation, analytics, observability, feature toggles, or performance optimization.
• Experience in ecommerce, marketplace, logistics, shipping, payments, or developer productivity tooling.
