Summary

The Salesforce SOX Compliance & Release Manager will maintain and execute our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) frameworks across our enterprise Salesforce environment.

This role will handle day-to-day audit support, access controls, and release coordination, and serve as an operational point of contact for Internal Audit, external auditors (EY), and cross-functional teams to ensure that change management policies and user lifecycle processes are consistently executed and documented.

Core Responsibilities

SOX & ITGC Operational Compliance

  • Audit Support & Evidence Gathering: Assist in pulling walkthrough samples, change tickets, approval logs, and system evidence for external auditors (EY) and Internal Audit.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Process user access, role assignments, and timely deactivations in accordance with SLA metrics via Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Access & Role Reviews: Perform scheduled quarterly and annual user access and profile audits to prevent Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts.
  • Checklists & Documentation: Maintain operational compliance checklists, record change logs, and document system configurations for all Salesforce components and custom solutions.
  • Focus on testing, monitoring, and evidencing control effectiveness for regulatory/SOX programs; strong fit for ITGC walkthroughs, sampling, documentation, and audit support.

Release Coordination & Execution

  • Release Logistics: Coordinate release schedules and deployment activities across Salesforce environments and connected integrations.
  • Communication & Verification: Draft release notifications for cross-functional stakeholders and assist with post-production verification testing following system deployments.
  • Ticket & Pipeline Tracking: Ensure all deployment requests in Jira/ServiceNow have appropriate change approvals, business sign-offs, and pre/post-deployment documentation attached before release.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in program management, compliance support, audit execution and  Salesforce administration within a regulated environment.
  • Salesforce Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Salesforce user administration, profiles, permission sets, roles, and basic change management (Sandboxes, deployment steps).
  • Process & Tooling Skills: Active experience using Jira or ServiceNow for ticket management, access controls, and release tracking.
  • Audit Readiness: Familiarity with OTC and  ITGC principles, SOX compliance concepts, and auditor evidence-gathering workflows.
  • Education & Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
