KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Job Purpose
Lead and manage all HVAC engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield projects during Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up phases. Ensure HVAC systems are designed and implemented in compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards, international engineering codes, offshore environmental requirements, safety regulations, and project objectives.
The role is responsible for delivering reliable, safe, energy-efficient, and maintainable HVAC and pressurization systems for offshore facilities including Wellhead Towers, Central Processing Platforms (CPP), Utility Platforms, Living Quarters, Electrical Buildings, Telecom Shelters, and Process Facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead HVAC engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects.
- Manage and supervise HVAC engineers and designers.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to project teams.
- Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Civil, Structural, and HSE disciplines.
- Participate in engineering reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, and project meetings.
HVAC System Design and Engineering
Develop HVAC Design Basis, Design Philosophy, and project specifications.
Perform and review HVAC calculations including:
- Cooling Load Calculations
- Heating Load Calculations
- Ventilation Calculations

- Equipment Sizing Calculations
- Airflow Distribution Analysis
Design and review HVAC systems for:

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a Lead HVAC Engineer role within major Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven experience in Offshore Greenfield EPC projects.
- ADNOC Offshore project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction Support, and Commissioning phases.
- GCC/Middle East project experience is preferred.
