JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Patient Access Supervisor provides leadership, support, direction, and focus for the Patient Access Services staff. The supervisor supports the Manager of Patient Access with the daily operations of the department, staff scheduling, workflow and performance and compliance oversight. Monitors daily activities to ensure successful outcomes of all patient encounters and measures productivity and compliance with established standards, directives, and regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION
- High school degree required.
- Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three years’ health care experience, required.
- Minimum of three years of experience with insurance registration standards, benefits, coverage, and pre-authorization/referral procedures required.
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
