Start date: ASAP

Duration: Approx. 8 months with potential to extend

Pay rate: Negotiable, dependent on skills and experience

Security requirements: Must hold minimum Baseline security clearance at time of application


Overview

An Australian Government agency is seeking an experienced EL1 Program Reporting Specialist to support the delivery of a complex, large-scale transformation and regulatory reform program.

The successful candidate will establish, coordinate and maintain integrated program reporting, performance monitoring and governance information across multiple workstreams and releases. You will consolidate complex delivery, business, regulatory and technology information into clear and timely reporting that supports executive decision-making, governance and program oversight.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain integrated program reporting frameworks, templates and standards.
  • Coordinate and consolidate reporting inputs across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Produce weekly, fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc program reporting.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance scorecards and governance reporting.
  • Monitor program performance against plans, milestones, schedules and objectives.
  • Analyse delivery data to identify trends, risks, issues, dependencies and emerging concerns.
  • Prepare executive reports, briefings, presentations and governance materials.
  • Maintain reporting on program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions.
  • Support benefits monitoring, assurance activities, audits and gateway assessments.
  • Assist with integrated delivery schedules, roadmaps and milestone reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate reporting processes and data visualisation.
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO reporting capabilities.


Experience/requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering program, PMO or portfolio reporting within large and complex government programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive dashboards, governance reporting and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex delivery information, risks, dependencies and performance data.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reporting, briefings and presentations for senior executive governance forums.
  • Experience working within highly regulated government environments, including governance, assurance and audit requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Azure DevOps, Power BI and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience gathering and coordinating reporting inputs across multiple workstreams.

Desirable:

  • Experience within large-scale transformation, reform or regulatory change programs.
  • Experience working in Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Project, Program or PMO qualifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMBOK or equivalent.
  • Experience developing automated reporting and data visualisation solutions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, Information Management, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
