Description
Overview
This position provides Technical Project Management for the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) for COLUMBIA class construction, test, and integration of SWS/SWSS equipment in Groton, CT.
Responsibilities include:
- Apply Process Improvements and Lean Six Sigma principals to the construction and testing of the SWS/SWSS for the Columbia Class.
- Development Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help identify areas management to align company resources and support.
- Apply mathematical and statistical analysis to support appropriate construction and testing sequences.
- Map and define construction and test activities to ensure they meet technical and schedule requirements.
- Adjust the ARETMIS network and Work Orders as required to meet technical requirements.
- Identify lessons learned to the business to support real time work execution improvements.
- Identify areas of ship’s design and requirements to improve construction, testing, requirements capture, and throughput.
- Interface with all levels of GDEB Leadership and Government Stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial, Systems, Chemical, Management, Process, or Data Science engineering
- 0-5 years of post-graduate experience
- Ability to read system diagrams and similar engineering drawings
- Work travel will be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Statistical Process Control
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Project Management Experience
- Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
