Responsibilities
If you're someone who believes that positive guidance, encouragement, and skill-building can transform lives, this role was built for you.
As a Therapeutic Behavioral Aide at Health Connect America, you'll provide direct support to children, adolescents, and individuals with behavioral, emotional, developmental, or substance use challenges. Through one-on-one interventions, relationship-building, and community-based support, you'll help individuals develop the skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and within their communities.
What You'll Do
As a Therapeutic Behavioral Aide, you'll work closely with individuals, families, and treatment teams to reinforce positive behaviors and support personal growth. Day to day, you can expect to:
- Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions, skill-building, and supportive services designed to improve behavioral, social, daily living, and community functioning
- Serve as a positive role model while utilizing behavioral reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, structured activities, and cognitive behavioral approaches to support treatment goals
- Assist individuals in developing independence, improving social skills, managing impulsive behaviors, and strengthening their ability to engage in positive home and community activities
- Collaborate with treatment teams, caregivers, and guardians to support behavioral treatment plans and promote consistency across environments
- Maintain client safety, uphold confidentiality, document services accurately, and ensure compliance with program requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory standards
- Participate in supervision, treatment team meetings, required trainings, and transportation activities as needed to support client care and service delivery
What to Expect
This is a highly interactive, community-based role that allows you to make a direct impact in the lives of children and individuals who need additional support navigating daily challenges. You'll spend much of your time working one-on-one with clients in homes, schools, community settings, and other approved environments.
Success in this role requires patience, empathy, flexibility, and the ability to build meaningful relationships while supporting positive behavioral change. You'll receive guidance from experienced professionals and have opportunities to develop valuable skills in behavioral health, direct care, and human services.
