Position Summary
q-Health Partners is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to join our revenue cycle team. In this role, you will be responsible for billing outpatient medical insurance claims and following up on outstanding claims using assigned Carrier Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports.
The position requires strong attention to detail and accuracy, including manual claims data entry and account research. You will play an important role in maintaining timely reimbursement and supporting the overall success of our revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Submit and accurately enter outpatient medical insurance claims.
- Review and follow up on outstanding insurance claims using Carrier A/R reports.
- Research unpaid and delayed claims and identify issues preventing payment.
- Communicate with insurance carriers as needed to resolve claim issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of claim follow-up and account activity.
- Ensure claims and account information are accurate and complete.
- Work independently while meeting department productivity and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with other members of the revenue cycle team to resolve billing and A/R issues.
Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and practice management or medical billing systems.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while working with a high volume of claims and accounts.
Experience
Required:
- At least one year of experience with outpatient insurance claim follow-up, A/R management, and medical billing.
Preferred:
- Experience with nephrology or internal medicine.
