Description
Traveling Drywall and Framing Superintendent
About the Travel
This position works project sites across the country rather than a single local jobsite, so we want to be upfront about it. We cover lodging and pay a meal per diem while you're on the road, and mileage is reimbursed at a competitive rate. For superintendents who like seeing new markets and different project types, it's a good fit - and we make sure the travel is supported rather than something you absorb on your own.
Running the Site
You'll be the one in charge of the work in the field, from planning and scheduling through final completion. That means supervising crews and giving them clear direction, coordinating daily with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors so material and manpower show up when the schedule needs them, and walking the job to check progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Beyond that, the job comes down to:
- Catching problems early and solving them before they slow the job down
- Keeping documentation straight - daily reports, progress updates, change orders
- Holding the crew to a real safety culture, not a posted one
What You Need to Bring
Five or more years in commercial construction, including time already spent as a superintendent. OSHA 30 is required. You should be strong on layout for complex projects and able to read blueprints, architectural plans, and structural drawings without hesitation. We also want a track record of building and holding project schedules.
The rest of it:
- Willingness to travel nationwide to project sites
- Clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and the office
- Detail orientation and a personal standard for quality
- Comfort with technology and cloud-based reporting - we provide the tools and the training
Compensation and Benefits
We put money into our people and give them room to grow:
- $60,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience
- Performance bonuses based on project performance
- Company-paid lodging and meal per diem on the road
- Competitive mileage reimbursement
- Optional medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Company-paid life insurance
- 401(k) plan
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- One week of paid volunteer leave each year, separate from PTO
- Advancement opportunities in a company growing quickly
