About the Role
Naqvi Injury Law is seeking a motivated and experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our award-winning team. The Pre-Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing personal injury cases from the initial attorney involvement through settlement or transition to litigation.
This position requires a strong understanding of personal injury law, excellent negotiation skills, exceptional client communication, and the ability to manage a caseload while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and client service.
The ideal candidate is confident, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of their cases while working collaboratively with case managers, paralegals, and other members of the firm.
*Litigation opportunities may also be available based on the firm’s needs, the attorney’s experience, and the attorney’s desire to pursue litigation matters.
What You Will Do
· Manage an assigned caseload of personal injury matters from pre-litigation through settlement or transfer to litigation
· Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations to understand the facts, injuries, treatment, damages, and goals of each case
· Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the pre-litigation process
· Review police reports, medical records, medical bills, photographs, witness statements, insurance information, and other relevant evidence
· Conduct legal and factual research as necessary to evaluate claims and identify potential issues
· Identify liability issues, comparative negligence concerns, coverage issues, and other potential obstacles to recovery
· Work closely with case managers and paralegals to ensure cases are progressing appropriately and critical deadlines are met
· Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel to maximize client recovery
· Evaluate settlement offers and provide clients with clear, informed recommendations regarding settlement options
· Communicate settlement negotiations and case developments to clients in a timely and understandable manner
· Coordinate with the firm's litigation department when cases require escalation or transition to litigation
· Maintain accurate and timely case notes, documentation, and status updates within the firm's case management system
· Ensure compliance with applicable laws, ethical obligations, firm policies, and case deadlines
· Demonstrate sound judgment when evaluating case value, settlement opportunities, and litigation risk
· Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, intake staff, and other departments
· Provide exceptional client service while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
Successful candidates will need a positive attitude along with a wide range of skills and talents, including the following:
· Must be an active member of the State Bar of Nevada and in good standing
· Minimum of one (1) year of personal injury experience; pre-litigation experience strongly preferred
· Demonstrated understanding of Nevada personal injury law and applicable statutes, regulations, and procedures
· Strong understanding of the pre-litigation process from case evaluation through settlement
· Demonstrated ability to independently manage and prioritize an active caseload
· Strong negotiation and settlement skills
· Ability to evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and overall case value
· Experience reviewing and analyzing medical records, medical bills, police reports, and other case documentation
· Experience preparing settlement demands and negotiating with insurance carriers
· Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills
· Ability to explain complex legal concepts and case issues to clients in a clear and understandable manner
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
· Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive client information
· Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities
· Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required
· JD from an accredited law school
· Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, loyalty, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
· This role operates in a professional, climate-controlled office with moderate noise and frequent collaboration. Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all firm and client matters.
· Maintain a polished, professional, and client-ready appearance at all times.
· High-pressure, fast-paced environment requiring the ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients, insurance representatives, attorneys, and team members.
· Standard work weeks require a minimum of 40 hours, with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work required based on client needs, business demands, or case deadlines.
· Participate in a rotating attorney coverage schedule, including rotation among firm offices as needed, with an attorney assigned a one-week rotation to respond to client calls and address urgent client matters outside of regular business hours.
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for 80% or more of the workday.
· Constantly operates a computer and office equipment.
· Frequently exchanges information in person, via telephone, email, or other approved digital platforms with clients and team members.
· Prolonged screen use.
