Overview
Global Procurement provides support to Deutsche Bank’s business and infrastructure divisions globally. You will engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop sourcing strategies and plans, and execute sourcing events (e.g. RFPs) to create value for the Bank. You will be a member of the Banking Services category management team supporting Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, Private Bank, and Infrastructure divisions.
Main Product areas that we actively engaged include Front Office Sales and Trading, Clearing, Settlement and Execution Services, Digital Custody Services, Payments – Cards, Payment Gateways, Online Banking, Loan servicing, shareholder servicing, HW, SW and Maintenance supporting banking and brokerage functions and Wealth Management banking, custody and brokerage
The Senior Category Sourcing Manager will need to have the aptitude to operate in this varied and often complex environment, with an ability to develop solutions to problems, with a self-led approach and strong communications skills.

What You’ll Do
Lead the development of annual and medium-term strategic plans. Identifies specific sourcing projects/initiatives for the year including expected savings, resource requirements and associated timescales for completion
Lead the execution and support the development of Category-based sourcing processes for assessing and fulfilling current and future sourcing needs
Actively support knowledge management. Continually scan the category and industry environment to gather insights
Manage complex sourcing deals, driving the supplier selection and negotiation process for key sourcing events
How You’ll Lead
Develop strong, productive working relationships with clients at a senior level
Manage programs, people, and change; as commercial lead and / or commercial advisor on sourcing deals, lead and influence programs and people to produce desired changes and transformation
Lead cross-functional teams spanning the Business line, legal, finance, and other Deutsche Bank functional areas. Depending on the size, scope, and timeline of the deal, lead and / or support peers in global procurement in delivering the solution
Skills You’ll Need
Extensive experience in Procurement or similar function
Banking experience is highly regarded
Strong negotiations skills and experience
Experience with demand / consumption management, understanding of modeling techniques to monitor and adjust strategies dynamically
Experience with providing aggressive reductions in the non-comp expense base through procurement and process reengineering by identifying and driving cost reductions, supplier consolidation, service delivery improvements, process efficiencies and risk mitigation
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Strong team player, able to work in virtual, global teams in a dual reporting matrix organization

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $198,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
