Description
Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental programs and policies to ensure OSHA and EPA compliance Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions and control measures Assist with accident investigations, safety inspections, and compliance audits while driving timely corrective actions Promote employee involvement in safety initiatives and at-risk behavior prevention Conduct regular facility inspections and environmental audits Deliver instructor-led safety and environmental training programs Develop site-specific safety training materials, lesson plans, and documentation Monitor and communicate safety performance metrics, trends, and compliance data Maintain organized and accurate safety and environmental records Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, ergonomics, and environmental compliance Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Partner cross-functionally to support plant-wide EHS initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Experience in safety, health, and environmental program implementation, preferably within a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations Experience developing and maintaining compliance programs preferred Strong training and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear technical documentation and lesson plans Experience with ergonomic solutions in manufacturing environments preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
