Description
Purpose and Job Summary:
The Investor Relations Generalist serves as the firm-level integrator across all strategies, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational excellence in the delivery of investor communications, marketing materials, diligence responses, and onboarding processes. This role will support the securitized credit business of ORIX USA, which includes Digital Infrastructure, Structured Credit, Asset Backed Finance and GP Solutions, partnering closely with strategy specialists and investment teams while liaising with the sales team and responding to investor requests. The role will focus on the infrastructure, processes, and standards that support a scalable, institutional investor experience across the entire platform. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for a senior IR professional who wants to build durable infrastructure at a growing multi-strategy platform rather than own a single fund relationship book.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Firm-Level Content Stewardship: Maintain ownership of all strategy-specific marketing materials, corporate positioning, and cross-strategy content. Ensure consistency of messaging, branding, and data across decks, fact sheets, and investor communications and have full knowledge of collateral library in order to respond to investor inquiries efficiently.
- Content Creation: For investment teams lacking existing product strategists, lead and manage marketing collateral creation and investor inquiry responses in partnership with sales team input and investment team data.
- Marketing Governance & Compliance Coordination: Partner with Compliance to enforce marketing “rules of the road,” ensuring all materials and communications adhere to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and version-control standards.
- RFP/DDQ Leadership: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of RFPs, DDQs, consultant databases, and ad hoc diligence requests. Coordinate closely with Sales and Product Strategists to ensure responses are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategy-specific narratives.
- Investor Onboarding & Servicing: Oversee the investor onboarding process, including subscription documentation, KYC/AML coordination, and operational setup. Serve as the primary liaison between investors, fund operations, and legal/compliance teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Portal & Data Room Administration: Manage the investor portal, including data room organization, reporting distribution, and document access. Ensure materials are current, accurate, and consistently structured across strategies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the connective tissue between Sales, Product, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and Product Strategists to ensure a unified investor experience and efficient internal workflows.
- Process & Infrastructure Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline IR processes, improve data integrity, enhance reporting, and strengthen the firm’s institutional infrastructure as the platform scales.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- 6+ years in investor relations, fund marketing, product/RFP management, or business development within alternative asset management; direct exposure to private credit (digital infrastructure, structured credit, NAV finance and/or asset backed finance) strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative skills, understanding of private credit markets and ability to conduct market research in order to create compelling narratives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail and comfort owning firm-wide, externally-facing materials.
- Demonstrated ownership of the end-to-end RFP/DDQ process, including consultant databases (e.g., eVestment, Preqin) and institutional questionnaire standards.
- Exceptional Powerpoint and Excel skills
- Working knowledge of investor portal and data room platforms (e.g. Intralinks, Juniper Square) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Familiarity with SEC Marketing Rule requirements and experience partnering with Compliance on review and approval workflows.
- Experience with fund subscription documentation and KYC/AML onboarding processes, ideally across multiple vehicle types (drawdown, evergreen/perpetual, REIT, interval fund).
- Proven ability to operate as a cross-functional integrator — comfortable driving alignment across Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations without formal authority over those teams.
- Process-oriented mindset with a track record of building or scaling IR infrastructure at a growing platform.
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred: - CFA, CAIA, or MBA a plus
