The Opportunity

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join a growing Adelaide-based team delivering environmental planning, approvals and assessment services across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, water, energy, defence, industrial and development projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced environmental specialists, supporting the delivery of complex projects while developing your expertise in environmental approvals, impact assessment, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Environmental Consultant, you will:

• Support the preparation of environmental impact assessments, approvals documentation and technical reports.
• Assist with environmental approvals and permitting processes across State and Commonwealth jurisdictions.
• Undertake environmental constraints assessments, due diligence studies and desktop investigations.
• Identify environmental risks, opportunities and approval requirements to support project planning.
• Assist with stakeholder and regulator engagement activities.
• Coordinate inputs from technical specialists and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and client deliverables.
• Support project management activities including scope, schedule, budget tracking and progress reporting.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in environmental approvals, planning or assessment within South Australia or interstate.
• An understanding of environmental approvals, impact assessment processes and environmental legislation.
• Working knowledge of South Australian and/or Australian environmental regulatory frameworks.
• Experience preparing technical reports and environmental documentation.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to learn, grow and continuously improve your technical knowledge.
