POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Subcon and Foundry Manager to join our Business Group Operations team. This position complements the central External Manufacturing team by ensuring specific BG concerns are addressed. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing China+1 strategy, ensure on time release of NPI and industrial projects at subcons, managing FE and BE supplier contracts, negotiating main contractual terms for the BG, capacity and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery from suppliers. Candidates for this role should possess a combination of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and effective communication and negotiation skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1- Oversee and support EM organization sourcing:

  • Help Identify, evaluate, and select subcontractors based on capabilities, performance history, and alignment with project requirements.

  • Responsible for execution of BG ICS Back-end and Front-end sourcing strategy in selecting, categorizing and developing supply base to provide best in class external solution.

  • Provide input into stakeholder scope of requirements by offering commercial suggestions.

2- Contractual compliance

  • Ensure we comply with contract terms and conditions, leading to zero penalty to BG

3- Support to NPI and Industrial project teams

  • Be escalation point at subcon for project teams and solve major issues (assembly/tester allocation, piece part availability, prioritization decision…).

4- Capacity negotiation

  • In liaison with External manufacturing, negotiate capacity with each FE and BE supplier to ensure capacity by location and by package supports BG China+1 strategy

5- Cost Management:

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering, and continuous cost monitoring in relation with external manufacturing, Industrial and Quality team.

  • Collaborate with subcontractors to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

  • Monitor market trends and implement strategies to maintain cost competitiveness.

6- Contract Negotiation:

  • Be part of contract negotiation with subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and conditions for BG ICS.

  • Work closely with External manufacturing, legal and procurement teams to address contractual requirements and compliance.

SKILLS /COMPETENCIES

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, products and the specific services provided by subcontractors.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues in a proactive and systematic manner.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborate effectively with the Nexperia team and suppliers across regions and remotely.

  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is often preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in subcon/foundry sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on the semiconductor industry.

KPIs – Deliverables and Process:

Meet agreed performance indexes of cost savings, supplier performance, sourcing effectiveness and contract compliance.

Output (Deliverables):

  • Actual output per supplier

  • On Time delivery % per supplier

  • Cost saving

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation

  • Negotiated Contracts:

  • Supplier Relationship Management: QBRs, capacity
