Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Lawrenceville we are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals providing Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment services to our co-occurring adult and adolescent clients. Summary:
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides comprehensive clinical care to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and health education. The APN functions as part of an interdisciplinary team to support clients’ physical and behavioral health needs while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care in accordance with Pyramid Healthcare standards and applicable state and federal regulations.

Rate: $84.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing medical and psychiatric evaluations, including history, mental status, and physical examinations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and medication plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response, side effects, and lab results, following scope of practice guidelines.
- Provide health education and counseling to clients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and medication adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and clinical consultations.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and communications accurately and promptly within the electronic health record (EHR) according to company policy and regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements.
- Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and referral as necessary.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Licensure: Required:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (APN) or PMHNP in New Jersey AND Pennsylvania
- National certification by an approved certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP) required.
- Active New Jersey CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substance) registration.
- Active Federal DEA registration.
- Experience providing direct patient care in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or a related medical specialty preferred.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
