As a Supervisor, Carrier Sales Representative in Brokerage at RXO, you will work cross-functionally with various departments, including sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance, and accounts payable. You’ll manage a team of Carrier Sales Representatives and ensure that everyone is consistently delivering positive results
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage the daily operations of Carrier Procurement team
- Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers
- Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives
- Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same
- Conduct research in available databases for potential leads; make cold calls to prospects
- Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure that carrier charges are accurate
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working directly with carriers
- Solid experience in management, with the ability to prioritize work and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees; conflict resolution skills
