Job Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, supporting and driving improvement processes and transformational improvement initiatives across the enterprise.  You will encourage and advance strong partnerships with all business units and employ foundational quality and process improvement tools to a create consistent, data-driven approach to continuous improvement.

Highlights of your role

  • Support and improve quality management system processes, documentation, reporting, and digital tools, including ISO and CE certifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Support Engineering efforts to analyze, identify, and resolve production line problems in order to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Support operations efforts to analyze, identify, and mitigate/resolve risks related to product performance.
  • Serve as a resource to internal departments to resolve issues related to incoming parts and develop corrective actions.
  • Organize and schedule quality audits, develop and manage supporting documentation and communicate results.
  • Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action effectiveness using data-driven and statistical methods.
  • Support Research and Development efforts to correct any issues with current products.
  • Analyze quality, production, and process data using statistical methods to identify trends, variation, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and improve quality systems, processes, and digital tools using statistical analysis and Microsoft Power Platform solutions to increase process visibility, standardization, automation, and data-driven decision making.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preferred concentration in Engineering and/or Manufacturing/Operations
  • 2 - 4 years leading moderately sized improvement/new product projects with proven results
  • Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Proven ability to successfully participate, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Experience using statistical analysis to evaluate process performance, variation, and improvement opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop dashboards, automated workflows, and digital tools that support quality system performance and decision making.
