We are looking for a detail-oriented Regional Cloud Engineer to join our Europe IT team and the IT Team located in Nis, Serbia. As a Regional Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Johnson Electric cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (and/or other Cloud systems). You will work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, security, and application development teams to ensure our cloud solutions are efficient, secure, and aligned with best practices.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Design and deploy scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
Automate cloud operations and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and security of Azure resources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration and modernization projects
Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for cloud security and governance
Our requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), storage, and compute services
Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python preferred)
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security Center
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Azure local Infrastructure would be a plus
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are required
Knowledge of other server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and Hypervisor (ESX, Hyper-V, Proxmox, etc.)
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Experience with migration from on-prem to the Azure Cloud
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with hybrid cloud environments, knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on AKS), and familiarity with governance frameworks like Azure Policy and Blueprints are preferred
