As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with nationally recognized fixed income asset managers. You’ll also have a mix of daily responsibilities and project work.
This internship requires working full-time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office. We are seeking a student who can start in June 2027.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Support the team’s dynamic reporting needs using various systems, including Microsoft Excel
- Spend time with various portfolio managers on the team to learn about our investment process
- Use Bloomberg data and information to research a topic determined by members of our investment team
- Present your findings to the investment team and answer questions
- Monitor and review reports to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements
- Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, math, engineering, or economics, or a related field preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach new or unfamiliar challenges thoughtfully and resourcefully
- Comfortable working with data, including organizing, analyzing, and interpreting information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an interest in developing advanced data analysis and reporting skills
- A high level of professionalism is mandatory
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision, yet a willingness to take direction
- Demonstrates a genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a strong desire to expand knowledge and develop new skills
