Job Title:  Transport Lead

Employment Type: Full-Time 40 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6am to 230pm
Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

Position Purpose

• Responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.

As a Transporter you will:

• Be responsible for the transporting of patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment and in a safe and in a timely manner.

• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting proper mode of “transportation”

• Be respectful of patients and show compassion and empathy

• Maintain Patient Safety in Preparation for Transport to Ancillary Areas as Well as Upon Return to Unit

• Demonstrate Proper Infection Control Practices and Precautions in All Patient Care Activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

• Prior hospital transport or patient care experience required

• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
