Deputy Clerk I

We are looking for a Deputy Clerk I!

The purpose of this classification is to perform clerical work functions associated with processing/maintaining information, documentation, and records and responding to requests for information related to the Court System.

Essential Functions:

• Processes court and departmental documents in accordance with established procedures and timelines; prepares, reviews, files, and distributes forms, reports, correspondence, court orders, judgments, subpoenas, citations, warrants, and related records.
• Processes and coordinates case activities; assigns case numbers and prepares documentation.
• Provides customer service to the public and other stakeholders by greeting visitors, answering telephone inquiries, explaining procedures, and responding to routine requests for information.
• Receives and processes payments for court and departmental fees; records transactions, issues receipts, balances cash drawers, and forwards revenues in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintains case files and performs clerical and data entry functions including organizing and filing documents, entering and verifying data in computer systems, generating reports, and operating standard office equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of experience in clerical/general office work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
