Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing all materials, inventory, procurement, logistics, and production scheduling activities at a complex. The position directly impacts operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, production continuity, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control of ingredients, raw materials, and supplies.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound supply chain logistics.
  • Coordinate procurement and the Purchase-to-Pay process.
  • Schedule production based on inventory and WIP requirements.
  • Maintain inventory stocking levels and minimize material variances.
  • Manage freight scheduling, transportation costs, and supplier relationships.
  • Monitor raw meat and ingredient inventories and place orders as needed.
  • Maintain and update SAP systems (MMG, BOM, PPS).
  • Review production metrics, bird sizes, trim percentages, and quality concerns.
  • Coordinate new product launches, testing, and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain operational budgets.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, inventory management, and corporate purchasing teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in:
    • Inventory Control
    • Materials Management
    • Supply Chain
    • Procurement/Purchasing
    • Production Scheduling
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Business
    • Economics
    • Accounting
    • Logistics
  • SAP experience, specifically:
    • SAP MMG
    • BOM
    • PPS
  • Previous Inventory Control Management experience.
