Summary:
The Kogod Behavioral Lab Student acts as a Manager and supports the day-to-day operations and research activities of the behavioral lab. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive student with a strong interest in behavioral research, lab management, and academic collaboration. The Student Manager plays a key role in ensuring studies run smoothly, participants are coordinated effectively, and research projects are executed with precision.
Essential Functions:
1.) Lab Operations & Management
Oversee daily lab operations, including scheduling studies and managing lab resources.
Coordinate participant recruitment, communication, and tracking.
Maintain lab systems, databases, and research tools.
Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethical standards.
2.) Research Support
Assist with ongoing behavioral studies.
Conduct literature reviews and support study design and implementation.
Help collect, organize, and analyze research data.
Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.
3.) Administrative & Event Coordination
Organize and support academic events, workshops, and lab meetings.
Assist with documentation, reporting, and general administrative tasks.
Serve as a point of contact between students, faculty, and external participants.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
10 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$20.00 - $23.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Graduate or PhD level Student.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and professionally.
Familiarity with research methods, data collection, and basic analysis.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous research or lab experience preferred.
