Cafe Assistant – Make Every Cup Count!

This is a casual role based in Newmarch House, Kingswood and you should be able to commit to a Mon-Fri 4 hours /day

Your opportunity 

In this rewarding role, you will:

• Prepare and serve food and beverages (including coffee and tea) with warmth and professionalism.

• Ensure the cafe is well-stocked, clean, and inviting for residents and guests.

• Handle cash and EFTPOS payments accurately and maintain daily records.

• Monitor cafe operations in line with Anglicare’s Food Safety Program.

• Provide friendly, attentive service that reflects our Vision, Mission, Values, and Rhythm of Life philosophy.

• Assist in the kitchen and dining areas as needed, contributing to the wider hospitality team.

• Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and ideas to the Servery Supervisor. 

What you’ll bring 

• Experience in a cafe or hospitality setting (aged care experience desirable).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine care for people.

• Sound organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Confidence in handling payments and maintaining financial accuracy.

• Barista competency using a commercial coffee machine (assessment required prior to start).

• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
