Description
We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing operation in Fargo. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping a production facility running safely and efficiently.
This is an overnight position working 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with some flexibility needed to train on a mid-shift initially. Starting pay is $32/hour, including a $2.50/hour shift differential, with flexibility for higher pay based on experience.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical background along with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. This position will work across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems and play an important role in preventative maintenance and overall equipment reliability.
What You'll be Doing:

Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues

Diagnose equipment problems and replace motors, conveyors, airlocks, spouting, and other components as needed

Work with PLC systems to troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processes

Perform electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work as needed

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance work orders and document repairs

Identify equipment concerns before they lead to larger problems or production interruptions

Source parts and materials needed for maintenance and repairs

Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance work areas

Assist with facility maintenance and improvement projects

Work with outside vendors and contractors when needed

Follow established safety, food safety, and manufacturing procedures
Who We're Looking For:
-
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on industrial maintenance experience or extensive mechanical training

Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or production equipment

PLC programming and troubleshooting experience

Knowledge of electrical wiring and plumbing

Welding and fabrication experience

Ability to diagnose problems and determine effective repair solutions

Familiarity with OSHA/general industry safety standards

Strong decision-making and prioritization skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing to a team

Ability to work the 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM overnight shift

Flexibility to complete initial training on a mid-shift

Comfortable working in a production and warehouse environment

Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of an industrial maintenance position
