Process Overview*
Corporate Accounts Payable (CAP) is part of Global Financial Control India (GFCI) within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group. CAP supports a wide range of finance operations including Payee Operations, Invoice Processing, Employee Expense Reimbursement, Corporate Cards Programs, US Indirect Tax, Accounting & Research, and Payment Processing. The team partners with Finance, Procurement, Corporate Tax, Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams to ensure accurate accounting, compliant payments, strong controls, and operational excellence.
Job Description*
The Senior Manager will be an SME for all Corporate Accounts Payable (CAP) functions and be responsible for accounting expertise, operational delivery, process governance, risk and control management, stakeholder engagement, and execution of strategic priorities. The role will drive performance through strong controls, operational excellence, automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement. The individual will partner closely with Finance, Procurement, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Tax, and Global CAP leadership to deliver business outcomes and support CAP and CFO priorities.
Responsibilities*
- Oversight to end-to-end delivery and governance of assigned functions, with accountability for service, quality, productivity, controls and stakeholder outcomes.
- Provide domain expertise across Payee Operations, Invoice Processing, Employee Expense Reimbursement, Corporate Cards Programs, US Indirect Tax, Accounting & Research, and Payment Processing, based on assigned scope.
- Provide guidance on performance against operational, control and business metrics; analyze trends and exceptions and implement timely corrective actions.
- Manage risk and control management for assigned functions, including control execution, issue identification, root-cause analysis, remediation and sustainable closure.
- Lead audit, compliance, regulatory and control review activities and ensure timely, accurate and well-governed responses.
- Build effective partnerships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Tax, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Technology and Global teams.
- Support strategic transformation, automation, AI-enabled improvement, simplification and standardization initiatives aligned with CFO priorities.
- Drive implementation of process changes, transitions, new business requirements and control enhancements while maintaining operational stability.
- Ensure process documentation, procedures, governance routines and control evidence remain complete, current and effective.
- Provide clear business updates on performance, risks, issues, dependencies and improvement opportunities to management and stakeholder forums.
Requirements*
Education:- Chartered Accountant / CPA
Certifications if any :- IFRS Diploma etc.
Experience Range:- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in Corporate Accounts Payable, Accounting, Payment Operations, Employee Expense Reimbursement, Cards, Risk and Controls or related Finance Operations, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
Foundational skills*
- Demonstrated experience leading complex Corporate Accounts Payable, payment, accounting, expense, US indirect tax, cards or related finance operations.
- Advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial controls, operational risk, governance and regulatory or audit expectations.
- Experience owning process performance, risk outcomes, control effectiveness and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to identify material risks, challenge existing practices, lead root-cause analysis and drive sustainable remediation.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving capability with focus on business outcomes and control excellence.
- Ability to lead multiple priorities, make sound decisions and deliver results in a complex and fast-paced global environment.
- Proven experience leading process improvement, automation, transformation, standardization or change initiatives.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead through collaboration, effective challenge and disciplined governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, reporting and data analysis tools.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently and escalate with judgment.
Desired skills
- Experience across multiple CAP functions including Employee Expense Reimbursement, Corporate Cards, Payee Operations, Invoice Processing, Accounting & Research, and Payment Processing.
- Experience with Concur, ERP platforms, workflow tools or payment systems.
- Knowledge of automation and analytics tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx, UiPath or Tableau.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar generative AI tools, including effective prompting and appropriate human review of outputs.
- Experience leading process migrations, operational readiness, stabilization and large-scale change activity.
- Strong knowledge of audit, compliance, risk management and issue remediation practices.
- Learning agility and ability to adapt to emerging technologies, changing business priorities and global stakeholder needs.
Work Timings*
9 hours shift (11:30 AM – 8:30 PM). The role requires flexibility to support global stakeholders and critical business, transition, audit or regulatory priorities.
