FinOps consultant

You will fulfill an important role as Public Cloud FinOps Consultant within the Hybrid Cloud Overlay Tribe of Global Infrastructure. The Tribe is responsible to deliver safe, secure, and frictionless access to the public cloud for ING globally. One of the areas, Process & Control, is responsible for Vendor Management, Process Excellence, Sourcing, and FinOps. We are looking for somebody who has a vision on Public Cloud related financials and can help to elevate our FinOps practice to the next level.

The team

You will become part of the Process & Control expert team. The team consists of several related disciplines to support the Public Cloud platform globally. This includes Vendor Management of our Cloud Service Providers, Sourcing, etc. Most importantly for you, the team will consist of Public Cloud financial exports to drive our FinOps services to our customers.

Roles and responsibilities

As Public Cloud FinOps Consultant you help the Tribe and its’ internal customers get the most out of their cloud environment. We help various stakeholders use the public cloud in an optimal way, by giving them insight in the cloud spend and advice on how to improve its efficiency, based on the billing data provided by our cloud service providers. As Cloud FinOps Consultant, you work with multiple teams both internal and external, and have contact with a diverse set of stakeholders. Furthermore, you are playing a central role within the Tribe in maintaining, developing, scaling, and operationalizing FinOps activities and best practices.

• Proven track record on FinOps and proficiency in turning heaps of data into meaningful actions and insights
• Practical experience with forecasting, optimization, capacity planning/utilization and modeling
• Strong background in statistics, data analysis and supporting tools and technologies especially PowerBI
• Hands-on experience with Public Cloud (analytics) software. As we work with Azure and GCP having expertise on these specific platforms is a pre
• Eager to develop and set new standards for FinOps within ING
• A high level of autonomy in how you execute the job together with your FinOps colleagues in the team. The job profiles is not set in stone, so your proactivity, innovative view, and enthusiasm is encouraged
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams and agile way of working is a pre
• Fluent English speaking and writing
