Development Test Technician

REPORTS TO: Development Test Manager or Team Leader

 

DESCRIPTION: The Development Test Technician is responsible for performing all of Nissan and Honda design specification tests, such as making test plan/schedule, performing tests, developing countermeasure for non-conformance, and making/reporting test results according to development schedule.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the test engineer by to performing the required tests per the work instructions and procedures.
• Support root cause analysis, assist in making mockup test sa
• Use general work tools, measuring tools.
• Follow established work practices that support compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements
• Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

 

EDUCATION:

 

• High School Diploma or GED

 

EXPERIENCE:

• Not required

SKILLS:

• Technically inclined
• Good mathematical skills
• Communication skills, written and oral
• Ability to read drawings
• Computer literate (MS-Office)
• Capable of using basic measurements devices such as force gauge, digital meter, thermo meter and etc.
• Capable of using basic hand work tools such as soldering and etc.

OTHER:

• Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

 

 

Training Specific to Position:

• Documented Training and on-the-job training (OJT) by a team leader

 

 

Work Environment:

• Office environment
• Requires working in environmental chambers from -40C to 80C.

Physical Demands:

• Exertion of physical strength to move objects (up to 40 lbs) from one level to another.
• Requires the ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods of time.
• Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color.
